Nature Nuts: Winter Edition (Ages 3-4)
Wednesdays, beginning January 30
10am to 11am

Bring your toddler to explore nature with Nature Nuts! In this special Winter Edition, we’ll take a look at how animals sleep, eat, and stay cozy through the winter. Classes will cover hibernation, winter adaptations, animal tracks, and snow/snowflakes. There will be fun hands-on activities including stories, crafts, and live animal interactions.

This is a four-week course. Classes take place every Wednesday, 10-11am, from January 30-February 20, 2019. Class dates are January 30, February 6, February 13, and February 20.

Meet Your Instructors

  • Rebecca Nakaba and Jola Dohrmann

    Rebecca Nakaba (left) and Jola Dohrmann (right) are excited to welcome you and your child to Nature Nuts: Winter Edition! Rebecca has a background teaching hands-on science classes to kids, and loves integrating storytelling and art into learning about nature. Jola is an early childhood educator with a focus on language and literacy development.

    Together, they'll lead you and your child through fun crafts, stories, and playtime all designed to introduce your toddler to nature and science while building foundational skills and having fun. Caregivers will leave with takeaways to help continue making connections even after class is over.

Pricing & Registration Information

Cost: 4-week series: $50/member caregiver and child*, $70/non-member caregiver and child

*This program is for children age 3-4 and their adult caregivers. Caregivers must remain with the child attending the class. You are welcome to bring children under 12 months to an older sibling's class at no additional fee.
