Enjoy the best of the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in your own classroom!

No museum comes to educators with more interpretive, inquiry-based, hands-on lessons that align with best practices in science teaching. Our educators will work side by side with teachers to increase their comfort teaching science.

Outreach programs include Science on the Go, Nature on the Go, and Customized Teacher Professional Development.

  • Science on the Go

Science on the Go in a classroom

Science on the Go is a quarter-long professional development program designed to help K–8 educators increase confidence in teaching science through a nine-lesson NGSS-aligned curriculum.

  • Nature on the Go

During Nature on the Go, an experienced museum educator leads students through an inquiry-based, NGSS-correlated education workshop with a focus on regional species.

  • Customized Teacher Professional Development

    Teachers in professional development meeting

The Nature Museum offers a variety of professional development workshops tailored specifically for your school’s needs and designed to help teachers address STEM learning and the Next Generation Science Standards.
