Clipper Butterfly
The beautiful clipper butterfly (Parthenos sylvia) is a common sight at the fresh fruit stations throughout the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. As you might guess from its name, the clipper has large wings that make it a strong flier and glider. Although its fuzzy body and outstretched wings have led visitors to think it’s a moth, the clipper is actually a butterfly.

Hopefully the Peggy Notebart Nature Museum in Chicago (near Lincoln Park Zoo) will re-open soon.
