Carving Instructions

Carefully cut the top off your pumpkin and remove the seeds and guts. Tape your pattern of choice onto your pumpkin. Remember, the black sections will be what you cut out, so position your pattern carefully. Once taped in place, use a push pin to poke holes along the outer lines of the pattern. You can also use a knife and make shallow guiding cuts. Make as many or as few as you need to help guide your carving. After you’ve outlined the shapes, remove the pattern and carefully carve along the dots or lines you’ve already created.
Painting Instructions
Don’t want to carve? You can use these stencils to paint onto your pumpkin instead! Using a crafting knife or scissors, carefully cut along the edge of the shapes in the pattern. Once cut out, tape the remaining pattern onto your pumpkin and using the stencils to guide your painting. Let dry before removing the pattern.
