Exhibit Opening: The Art of Ezra Tucker

OPENING NOVEMBER 4, 2023 – Ezra Tucker is an artist who established his career as a painter by painting wildlife, most notably large mammals. More recently, he has focused on historic Black experience in The American West. This exhibition consists of 40 paintings produced by the artist from 1985 through 2023 which fall into these groupings: Group 1. Classic mega fauna (principally North American mammals, but also a few from Africa and elsewhere), and Audubonesque birds; Group 2. Untold Stories (of Black experience in the history of the American West); and Group 3. Allegory, Fantasy, Illustration, and Narrative.
