With the exception of Butterfly Haven Yoga which requires a registration fee, all of our Flutter into Fall programming is free with Museum admission! Want to save time at check-in? Purchase your admission tickets in advance at the link below. Just select admission for Saturday, September 10, and you’ll have access to all of our Flutter programming that day!

Butterfly Haven Yoga

Yoga lovers 18 and older can join us for a rejuvenating class in the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. Students will leave class feeling energized, balanced, and ready to take their practice off the mat and out into the world. BYO mat.

Members-Only Early Access

Nature Museum members can start the fun an hour before the Museum opens! Members can join us at 9am for early access to the museum, a craft, and the chance to sign up for a sensory exploration of the Butterfly Garden (perfect for children 4-7 years old and an adult). Space is limited for the Butterfly Garden exploration. You may sign up, or get more information, from our Front Desk team when you arrive.

Monarch Tagging

Wish migrating monarch butterflies ‘good luck’ as they begin their incredible journey from Chicago to Mexico where they will spend the winter! Join our scientists as they tag and release local monarch butterflies.

Guided Plant & Bug Walk

Explore and learn about the beautiful plants and crawly critters all around the Museum grounds. Join our team to learn about our native plants, the role they play in the lives of our local pollinators, and the very cool insects you might spot on and around them!

First Flight Butterfly Release

Rediscover the “hidden gems” of the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. Don’t miss these First Flight Butterfly Releases!
