Butterfly Ball

Following guidance from the CDC, we have decided to cancel this year's Butterfly Ball, scheduled for May 1. Click here for full details and a statement from president and CEO Deb Lahey.

The Butterfly Ball is the Chicago Academy of Sciences / Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum’s major source of funding – having raised over $35 million in the last 21 years. This year’s fundraising goal of $2.1 million is more important than ever, as the Museum is closed and all on-site programming is at a standstill, until April 13 at least, and probably more.

In this time of change and challenge, you can still support the Nature Museum:

  • To make a gift via a debit or credit card, or to pledge a gift and be billed at a later date, please click the "Make a Gift" button below.
  • To let us know you will send a personal check and/or a gift from your donor-advised fund, or to request information on making a gift of stock, please click the "Make a DAF or Stock Gift" button below.

Your continued support of the Nature Museum is appreciated.
