Taxidermy 101: The art (and science) of taxidermy

Join us for a beginner’s taxidermy class taught by Nature Museum experts! You’ll receive one-on-one guidance from our Collections Managers while completing a taxidermy mount of your very own rat. In this comprehensive class, you’ll learn all the basic techniques of small mammal taxidermy and about the importance of specimen taxidermy in scientific research.
All materials will be provided. Your finished specimen will go home with you so you can proudly display your work for friends and family.
Specimens were sourced from our reptile feeder supplier, and are safe to use for taxidermy.
Pricing & Registration Information
Cost: $125/members, $150/non-members. Registration fee includes all materials.
