    New adventures await the Ranitas Chiquitas Dart Frog Puppet Band! Jabberwocky Marionettes tells a fun story with an excellently animated cast of amphibian, reptile, insect, and bird puppets as they explore an exciting new world.

    Join Flying Fox Conservation Fund to learn about some of the most unique animals in the world. Get up close with a sloth, an armadillo, and more! A portion of the proceeds go towards animal conservation efforts.

    Pop-Up Hot Chocolate Bar

    Warm up at the Nature Museum! Katherine Anne Confections brings their famous hot chocolate bar. Rich chocolate, homemade marshmallows, local honey, and a variety of delicious toppings with be available.

    Don't forget, Illinois residents can enjoy free general museum admission as part of our Suggested Donation Thursdays.

    Head to Hands-On Habitat to listen to a story picked for our littlest visitors, and then keep the fun going with games and activities.

    Snakes, turtles, salamanders...more than 50 animal species reside in our lab. Get up close with one of our critters and learn about our animal friends that live at the Nature Museum.

    Live Animal Feeding

    Join us in Mysteries of the Marsh as our animal care staff and volunteers feed some of your favorite Nature Museum critters.

    First Flight Butterfly Release

    Every day
    2pm to 2:30pm

    Join us every day at 2pm in the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven as we release newly emerged butterflies into the Haven for the first time! Watch as they take their first flight!
