When the COVID-19 pandemic forced our world to go virtual, the Nature Museum responded with agility, ingenuity, and creativity. Today, the Nature Museum has become Chicago’s leading digital museum, providing more content, remote learning experiences, and online engagement than any other museum in the city.
While nothing compares to a visit to the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven, our goal all year has been to share with you the same excitement as an in-person visit to the Nature Museum. From the 70 daily Wonder at Home newsletters last spring to weekly episodes of “Curious By Nature” and from family events like Supper with the Snakes and Flutter into Fall, we do hope you have enjoyed these experiences from home. And whether you’ve had one of our Museum educators in your virtual classroom or just been trying to keep science alive at home with your family, we hope these educational resources have sparked wonder in nature for all.
We are committed to continuing to provide these online resources – both now and when we can reopen our building – because even while our world changes, science never stops.
Your gift of any amount supports this work we do in programming, outreach, and education, connecting students and families with the wonders of nature and science.
