Join us in crafting bird replicas for this crowdsourced conservation art project. Help us make 10,836 birds - one replica for each bird killed and collected in Chicago in 2023. Using upcycled fabrics, scissors and glue, participants craft replicas while learning why birds are colliding with windows and DIY methods for preventing these collisions. Your contributions will be part of the 300 foot long sculptural carpet of birds!
All ages welcome.
Participation in this art project is included with admission for Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum visitors.
