We know that birthdays are a big deal and should be special! That’s why we offer a spectacular package to make birthdays for children ages 2 to 7 fun and memorable.
Our unique birthday party package includes:
- A 2-hour celebration with your guests in a private party room, including a Critter Connection and craft!
- Admission for you and your guests to explore the Museum before, during, and after your party—including the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven!
- 30-minute play time in the Hawver and Lacy Families Nature’s PlaySpace!
Birthday party package details:
- Craft: Make your own turtle as a special birthday keepsake.
- Explore: Walk through our world-renowned Butterfly Haven and see butterflies from all over the world.
- Connect: Enjoy a Nature Museum Critter Connection and learn about a member of our Living Collection. Your child will love connecting with one of our turtle friends.*
- Play: Enjoy access to the Hawver and Lacy Families Nature’s PlaySpace, our 3,000+ square foot indoor play area representing six different Illinois habitats with hands-on interactive elements.
- Enjoy: Provide your own food and treats to round out the celebration. This exclusive package is available on Saturdays and Sundays with your choice of two time slots. This package includes a celebration with up to 20 kids and 20 adults for $850.
- Share the Fun: For an additional $10 per child, you can add a Nature Museum gift bag for each guest to take home! Ask our private events coordinator for more details.

Need more than an individual room rental? A museum buyout might be right for you!
This option is ideal for holiday parties, fundraisers, and galas. Pick and choose which reservable facilities you want to utilize for your event. Explore the exhibit galleries at your leisure without the general public accessing the museum. Please note, full museum rentals are for 6-hour blocks, 6pm-12am.
