The Urban Beavers of Chicago are a fan favorite, and individuals like Ida Beav Wells have captivated the news and general public: but what are beavers in the Chicago River up to? What have we learned about their lives?
Join Urban Rivers and C3 at the Nature Museum for a lecture to learn a bit more about the research happening into these incredible ecosystem engineers. Urban Rivers is transforming urban waterways into wildlife sanctuaries, creating opportunities for people of all backgrounds to connect with nature in new and meaningful ways.
This workshop is a part of the Chicago Conservation Corps (C3) program. Through C3, the Nature Museum provides training, funding, workshops, and volunteer opportunities that remove barriers to sustainability action for individuals and communities. By attending a C3 event, you become a C3 Explorer with access to volunteer days, workshops, and other involvement opportunities.
Experience nature and science up close with a trip to the Nature Museum.
