Virtual C3 Food Sustainability Leadership Training Info Session

This unique training will focus on the sustainability of our local food system. We’ll examine critical issues like food access, sustainable agriculture, and how to lower the greenhouse gas emissions associated with our food. We’ll also explore how we all can support Chicago’s growing urban agriculture and food rescue initiatives.

Participation Requirements:

  • Age 18+
  • Attend ONE information session (or watch a recorded one)
  • Submit a simple online application
  • The information in the course focuses on the city of Chicago, but anyone in the region is welcome to apply.

This 8-week course will be held in person at the Nature Museum this spring. Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings, April 7- May 26, from 6pm-8pm. Community Hour 5pm-6pm.

Community Hour is optional. The meeting room is open for relaxing, mingling, or working.

We never want finances to be a barrier to participation and as a result this training is pay what you can. If you are able, a $125 suggested course fee helps to offset staff time and resources.

  • In person at the Nature Museum on Tuesday, March 17 @ 6:00pm
  • Virtual on Thursday, March 19 @ 6:00pm
  • Virtual on Friday, March 27 @ 12:00pm

Application Deadline: Applications are due Tuesday, March 31.
