A brand new event at the Nature Museum where you get to step into the boots of a scientist and discover more about local nature!

Did you know that the Nature Museum isn't just an awesome place to explore and learn? We're also involved in protecting nature! Our resident biologists study and support the conservation efforts for a variety of animals that live with us in Illinois-- Blanding's Turtles, Smooth Green Snakes, Wood Frogs, Regal Fritillary Butterflies, and more!

Join these scientists at the Museum on Thursday, March 26 to experience their work first-hand! Help them find and measure snakes in our simulated prairie, dipnet in a vernal pool to find salamander eggs, track and tag turtles in our mini-marsh, and do so much more!

The first 50 children to check in for the event will receive a free pair of Nature Museum youth binoculars to aid in their exploration here and at home!

This program is designed for all ages, with special guidance included for how caregivers can best join and support their younger scientists' experience.

Tickets to this event include admission to the whole museum, including the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven. Family and Family+ members get discounted tickets-- be sure to sign into your member account to access your discount!

Museums for All tickets are available upon request. Reach out to programs@naturemuseum.com with any questions.
