Insect Pinning 101 - Cicadas!

Take a piece of this historic periodical cicada emergence home with you from our workshop led by our Curator of Entomology! Learn the ins and outs of insect pinning with a demonstration and guided instruction on pinning procedure and techniques using beautiful specimens of the cicada emergence going on right now. Leave this workshop with your very own pinned specimens for display.

All materials will be provided.

Participants 12-18 years old are welcome to join us! Before registering a participant under 18 for the workshop, please email programs@naturemuseum.org.

This program takes place after museum hours and does not include access to museum exhibits. Please note specimens are delicate and we recommend taking extra caution when biking.
