Whatever you celebrate, this one's for you!
At this Very Sustainable Holiday edition of our signature Nature on Tap event, adults ages 21+ will be able to enjoy all the Nature Museum has to offer from The Judy Istock Butterfly Haven to the resident critters, and have the opportunity to help make the holiday season more environmentally conscious!
From fast fashion and excessive packaging creating waste, to the fuel consumption of delivery trucks from online retailers and even driving from boutique store to boutique store, the holidays cause a spike in negative environmental impacts. To help combat this in our community, we would like to use our Nature on Tap to offer an opportunity to lessen these impacts. So, in addition to the museum’s exhibits and regular Nature on Tap offerings, we will feature a Sustainable Holiday Makers Market!
We're inviting local makers whose products are made from natural, recycled and/or up-cycled materials to showcase and sell their merchandise to help all our guests find some sustainable ways to fulfill their holiday needs.
This year's merchants will be:
- Story Lago
- Flip City/TT's Funhouse
- Holzbrennen Studio/Round2 Crafts
- Wastenot Compost
- Restless Creatures
- The Mulberry Rabbit
- Sturge Stitch
- Kawami Jewelry
- Spider House
- Crystal Elise Art
The staff of the Nature Museum will also hold workshops on sustainable gift wrapping!
Ticket price for Nature on Tap includes one drink and access to all the Museum's exhibits. Additional snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Cash and cards accepted. Refreshments include a selection of nonalcoholic drinks, as well as beer, wine, hard seltzers, and ciders.
Experience nature and science up close with a trip to the Nature Museum.
