25 years ago, the City of Chicago held an election that would determine which bird would represent the city. Of the six candidate birds that ran, the Peregrine Falcon emerged victorious. But what would happen if a new election were held today? Would the peregrine retain it's title? Or would a new bird claim the title and lead Chicago into a new era?
Join Chicago Ornithological Society and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum as we answer that very question! Like any proper democratic election cycle, this calls for a debate. We've assembled human representatives for the candidates to make their case for why their bird should be the official city bird. Afterwards, cast your vote to see who won the debate!
