Chicago Conservation Corps (C3) is your way to spark change in your community. With the Sustainability Leadership Training, you will receive training from C3 Experts representing established organizations already doing sustainability work. C3 has been inspiring community leaders for 19 years and we are excited to announce a new pilot curriculum for the Sustainability Leadership Training.
This unique pilot will focus on the sustainability of our local food system. We’ll examine critical issues like food access, sustainable agriculture, and how to lower the greenhouse gas emissions associated with our food. We’ll also explore how we all can support Chicago’s growing urban agriculture and food rescue initiatives.
Participation Requirements:
- Age 18+
- Attend ONE information session (or watch a recorded one)
- Submit a simple online application
The information in the course focuses on the city of Chicago, but anyone in the region is welcome to apply.
This 8-week course will be held in person at the Nature Museum this spring. Classes will be held on Thursday evenings,
April 24 - June 12 from 6pm-8pm, with an optional community hour from 5pm-6pm. We never want finances to be a
barrier to participation and as a result this training is pay what you can. If you are able, a $125 suggested course fee helps to
offset staff time and resources
