Gabriella Boros has shown her prints, paintings, and multimedia works nationally and internationally. Her artistic themes include the intersection of plants and humans and spiritual commentary, sometimes in the same work. She thoroughly researches and develops her themes into visual narratives.

A Closer Look

Currently focusing on woodblock prints and handmade books, Gabriella also does nature photography, watercolors, paints in acrylic on wood panel, and makes drawings, sculptures and found-object cheeseboxes.

Gabriella was born in Jerusalem, Israel, and immigrated with her family to the US at a young age. A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Art, she has been exhibiting her work nationally and internationally since 1986. She has focused on woodblock printmaking since 2012, completing four artist residencies in the field. She is a recipient of a State of Illinois Artist Grant and was awarded two fellowships. She currently lives and works in Skokie, Illinois.
