Join us May 7, 2021 for the 23rd Annual Butterfly Ball supporting all the educational outreach initiatives of the Chicago Academy of Sciences / Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
In keeping with current CDC guidelines, we are planning an exciting virtual gala – a chance to get up close with our animals, collections, and scientists in a more intimate way than we have ever been able to at the Butterfly Ball.
In the last 22 years the Butterfly Ball has raised $37 Million. We are grateful for long time supporters and new supporters as we celebrate nature and science.
Education has been the hallmark of the Chicago Academy of Sciences for the past 160 years, and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum is the public face of those efforts today. Each year, the Nature Museum offers engaging educational programs for explorers of all ages. Plus, we are a leader in local wildlife conservation and restoration, a center for public engagement in ecology, and a forum for dynamic public programs for all ages.
During this past year of remote engagement all of that work has continued, and the museum has never been more connected to the city. In fact, we are the leading digital museum, providing more content, remote learning experiences, and online engagement than any other museum in the city.
Our virtual format promises to capture the same excitement we’ve always achieved for the Butterfly Ball. We cannot wait to show off our work and we look forward to you joining us!
